I cannot pair my camera to the APC-R

  • Check the compatibility guide to confirm your camera is supported.
  • If your camera doesn't have a built-in Bluetooth chip (e.g., the Blackmagic Micro Studio 4K G2), you'll need to control it via an ATEM switcher instead. Connect Middle Control to your ATEM, ensure the camera is wired to the ATEM via SDI/HDMI, then try again.
  • Connect the antennas to the APC-R. (The APC-R Mini has a built-in antenna and doesn't need external ones.)
  • Update the Middle Setup app for iOS to the latest version.
  • Bring your camera closer to the APC-R / APC-R Mini and try again.
  • After the pairing code appears on the camera screen, complete the pairing within ~30 seconds before it times out.
  • Set your Blackmagic camera's language to English. Non-English menu languages can occasionally interfere with the pairing process.
