I have no control over Gimbal or Camera
First, confirm that your camera is paired to the APC-R. Open the Middle Setup iOS app, go to your APC-R, and confirm your camera appears with a "Forget Pairing" button. The APC-R's LED should be blue, indicating an active Bluetooth pairing. If ATEM commands still have no effect on the camera, work through the checks below.
- Make sure your BMPCC 4K / 6K firmware is up to date — some older versions have known Bluetooth issues.
- Verify the Camera ID shown in the Middle Setup app (or in the APC-R details in Middle Control's Status page) matches your camera's ATEM input number (e.g., SDI 6, HDMI 2). If they differ, change the Camera ID to match.
For legacy APC users only
- Make sure you're adjusting a setting that the APC supports (e.g., shutter, dB gain, white balance). For the full list, see the APC support page.
- Make sure your SDI cable goes from an SDI or PGM Output of the switcher to the SDI Input of the APC (not the SDI Loop Out).
- Make sure you're sending a 3G-SDI signal (1080p max resolution) over a quality cable. Try a different cable if needed. If you can only feed a UHD signal, convert it down using a Teranex Express converter.
