APC-R does not show up in Middle Control

If your APC-R's LED is yellow (powered, no Middle Control link) or blue (Bluetooth-paired) but the unit doesn't appear in Middle Control's Status page over Ethernet or Wi-Fi, check the following:

  • The computer running Middle Control is on the same network as your APC-R.
  • If you're using a switch or a direct Ethernet connection instead of a router, you'll need to assign a fixed IP — see the APC-R fixed IP guide.
  • On a locked-down network that blocks Bonjour/mDNS or UDP broadcast, add the APC-R manually by IP address in Middle Control instead of waiting for discovery — enter the unit's IP and it connects directly.
  • If your computer is connected to both Wi-Fi and Ethernet, ensure both your computer and your APC-R are on the same network.
  • The IP address shown at the bottom of the Middle Control Status page should match your computer's IP on that network.
Middle Control - APC-R Status Page
  • The IP address of your ATEM in the switcher tab is correct (if you have one)
  • The APC-R is set to DHCP. To adjust these settings, connect the APC-R to your computer using USB and in the Setup page, click on APC-R settings.
  • Check that you are running the latest version of Middle Control and your APC-R is up to date in the Setup tab.
  • If you are powering the APC-R using CANBUS only, try disconnecting and reconnecting 4-5 times and see if it shows up. If not, try and power the APC-R using micro USB and see if it shows up.
  • Try connecting your computer running Middle Control to the network using a wired Ethernet cable rather than Wi-Fi.
