Installing Middle Control Software returns an error

If you run into errors while installing Middle Control, try the following:

  • If you use an ATEM, install the latest Blackmagic ATEM Software Control — it is needed for ATEM features (Middle Control runs without it otherwise).
  • Windows only: the Windows build is 64-bit. Install the Visual C++ Redistributable (x64).
  • Even if the installer reports an error, try launching Middle Control — sometimes the install succeeds despite the error message.
  • Restart your computer and try again.
