Middle Control crashes on launch / doesn't launch

If Middle Control crashes on launch or fails to start, try the following:

  • Make sure Middle Control is up to date.

Windows-only steps:

  • In File Explorer, navigate to C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local and delete the MiddleThings folder if it exists (older versions used APCBase, Middle Things, and MiddleControl). Then restart Middle Control.
  • Install the Visual C++ Redistributable (x64 or x86).
  • Restart your computer.
