Motion Page
The Motion page moves the shot. It drives both PTZ cameras (over the network) and DJI gimbals (through an APC-R) with the same controls — pan, tilt, roll and zoom.
info
The Motion page was called the Gimbal page in earlier versions of Middle Control. Same screen, new name — because it controls PTZ cameras as well as gimbals.

Moving the camera
Pick a Camera ID (1 to 15), then:
- Drive pan and tilt with the on-screen pad. The padlock buttons lock movement to a single axis — whether they toggle or work while held is set by Axis Lock Mode in Advanced Settings.
- Roll has its own left / right pad.
- Zoom has its own slider with − / + steps.
Speed
- Pan/Tilt Speed and Max Zoom Speed sliders set how fast the selected camera moves — from turtle to rabbit.
- Optional global speed sliders for all cameras can be enabled in Advanced Settings.
Tools
- Active Track — hand subject tracking over to the gimbal or PTZ head.
- Recenter — send the head back to its centre position.
- Motor Calib — run the DJI Focus Motor auto-calibration. See Using the DJI Focus Motor.
- Sleep / Wake Up — rest the gimbal or PTZ head between takes and bring it back instantly.
- AutoTune — re-tune the gimbal motors for the current payload.
Gimbal Front Dial
The on-screen dial mirrors the gimbal's front dial — choose what it controls, such as focus, iris, or ISO.
Axis inverts & mappings
- Show Axis Inverts… flips the direction of pan, tilt, or roll so the rig always moves the way you think.
- USB Joystick Mapping… binds pan, tilt, zoom and the rest to a gamepad, keyboard, or the Middle Remote. See Mapping your Gamepad.
