Camera Page
The Camera page is where you shape the picture. Pick a Camera ID at the top, and everything below controls that camera — its name is shown under the title, coloured by tally when an ATEM is connected.
- macOS
- Windows

Selecting a camera
Use the Camera ID row (1 to 15) at the top. Each ID maps to one camera or APC-R — controls, presets, and mappings all follow the selected ID. A card below shows the camera's photo, model, and power state.
Camera Details
Open Camera Details from the camera card. Its Video Source setting turns the camera's Live View feed on or off — switch it off to keep full control and status while dropping the video image, so the camera becomes a control-only tile in Live View and Multi View.
Exposure & image
The control grid covers Focus, Iris, Gain / ISO, Shutter, WB, Tint, Contrast, Saturation, Black Level, and ND Filters — each with − / + steppers and the current value read from the camera. Controls the camera doesn't support are greyed out.
Auto modes — press the label
Press a control's label to toggle its auto mode: press Focus to trigger autofocus, Iris for auto-iris, Shutter, WB, or Gain for their auto modes — wherever the camera supports it.
Focus bar
Next to the − / + focus nudges, the focus bar drives the focus position directly — drag it for a smooth, repeatable focus pull between two points.

Variable shutter
Type a shutter value with a decimal — for example 50.4 — to switch the camera to variable shutter mode. To go back to the normal shutter, type a standard value like 1/50 or 50. Handy for clearing flicker from LED walls and monitors.

Recording
The Recording card starts and stops recording, with a Current / All switch: record just the selected camera, or every camera at once. Recording state is read back live from network cameras.
Advanced Recording Controls
The gear next to the Recording card opens Advanced Recording Controls — the camera's media plane, read straight from the body:
- Media slots — what's in each card slot or disk bay, and which one is being written to.
- Remaining recording time, and the percentage used where the camera reports it.
- Recording destination — pick the slot or disk to record to, including simultaneous recording on bodies that support it.
- Recording format — codec, resolution and frame rate. Only combinations the camera advertises are offered.
- Media formatting, with a hold-to-confirm button.
- Timecode, live, on the cameras that publish a running counter.
On Sony Alpha cameras that support it, the same panel also sets the Picture Profile: Off, PP1–PP11 or PPLUT1–PPLUT4.
What you get depends on the body, and Middle Control only shows what the camera actually reports. Several cameras publish their recording format read-only; some refuse formatting over the network entirely; and PTZ cameras with no recording media have no camera section at all. The compatibility page lists Advanced Recording Settings per model.
Record Center
Record Center is one dashboard for everything that records — your ATEM switchers' internal recorders, your Blackmagic HyperDecks, and your cameras:
- Master Switcher — the ATEM Middle Control is connected to: recorder state, disks, filename, record in all cameras, and record all ISO inputs on switchers that support ISO recording. ATEM disks cannot be formatted: the switcher SDK has no format command.
- Other Switchers — the other ATEMs on your network that can record, for example an ATEM Mini Pro next to your production switcher. Each one gets the same card as the master switcher. Arm a switcher to make it follow the group record command. This section only appears when such a switcher is found.
- HyperDecks — bays, remaining time, file format, and transport. Decks are found by scanning your local networks, or added by IP. Arm a deck to make it follow the group record command; a disarmed deck can still be driven from its own transport button.
- Cameras — one card per connected camera, showing the same media plane as Advanced Recording Controls.
Rec in ATEM
The Rec in ATEM options tie recording to your master switcher, in both directions: starting recording in Middle Control also starts the ATEM's recording, and starting recording on the ATEM starts recording on all your cameras — and on armed HyperDecks and other switchers. Both options live on the Master Switcher card in Record Center.

Monitoring
- Live View (free) and Multi View (Pro) open the video monitoring windows — see Live View & Multi View.
- Video Source (in Camera Details) turns this camera's Live View feed on or off. With video off, the camera still appears in Live View and Multi View — controls and status only, no picture.
- The toggles below the control grid switch the camera's assist tools: Clean Feed, Snapshot, Digital Zoom, Focus Peak, Zebra, Image Stab, False Colors, and Color Bars. Availability depends on the camera.
Camera menus
On supported cameras (Sony, for example), the Menu button opens the camera's own menu remotely, with OK and arrow keys driven from Middle Control.

ATEM Link
The ATEM Link toggle ties the selected camera to an ATEM input, so shading stays in sync between the camera, Middle Control, and your ATEM panels. See ATEM Link.

Replicate Settings
Replicate Settings copies the current camera's settings — gain, white balance, iris, shutter, and more — to several other cameras in one go. Useful for matching a multi-camera rig before a show.
Mappings
Press USB Joystick Mapping… to bind any control on this page to a gamepad button, an axis, or a keyboard key. See Mapping your Gamepad.
