Canon PTZ Controllers
Middle Control supports the Canon RC-IP300 and RC-IP1000 PTZ controllers. The panel's joystick, zoom rocker, and exposure controls drive the cameras and gimbals in Middle Control — a broadcast-grade hardware surface for any rig Middle Control can move.
How it works
Middle Control runs a virtual Canon XC protocol endpoint on your network. To the controller, Middle Control looks like a Canon PTZ camera (a CR-N400) — so you add it on the panel exactly like a real Canon camera, no extra software needed.
Once connected, pan / tilt / zoom, focus, and exposure commands from the panel are routed to the camera or gimbal in Middle Control.
Setup
- Run Middle Control (with an active Pro license) on the same network as the controller.
- On the RC-IP300 / RC-IP1000, register a new camera. The controller discovers Middle Control automatically on the network.
- If it doesn't appear, add it manually with your computer's IP address and port
8085. - Select it on the panel and start operating.
note
Canon PTZ controller support is a Middle Control Pro feature, available in Middle Control 4.0 and later on macOS.
