Cameras controlled via the Gimbal

For cameras without direct network control — including Nikon, Fujifilm, and Sigma — Middle Control can still send commands via APC-R / APC-R Mini through the DJI RS Gimbal using the DJI Camera Control Cable.

Many Panasonic, Canon, and Z CAM models now support direct network control in Middle Control — see the Panasonic, Canon, and Z CAM pages.

Available Features

Rec Start / StopTrigger recording on your camera directly from Middle Control.

Center FocusSend a center focus command to your camera through the gimbal.

Aperture / ISO / Shutter / FocusIf your gimbal supports these feature sets, you can map one of these parameters to the Gimbal Front Dial, which can be remotely controlled from Middle Control.

How It Works

Commands are routed from Middle Control through the gimbal via the DJI Camera Control Cable — a standard accessory included with most DJI RS gimbals. No additional hardware or network connection is needed on the camera side.
